I had the most mind-blowing stay at this super lodge tucked away in a peaceful location. From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of how cosy and well-equipped the lodge was, with all the home comforts you could imagine. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the abundance of towels was a pleasant surprise. The highlight for us was the jaw-dropping views of the wildlife right outside the picture windows - our furry friend was kept absolutely spellbound! The lodge is perfectly situated, just a short distance from the busier village, allowing our children to play outside freely. We had a fab outdoors holiday and can't wait to come back!

A peaceful location with plenty of nearby attractions to explore. Our lodge, Tanfield, was cozy and well-equipped, providing all the comforts of home. The picturesque views from the windows kept us and our furry friend entertained with the abundant wildlife. Although there was construction nearby, it didn't disturb our stay, as the builders were quiet and didn't work on weekends. We enjoyed a relaxing and enjoyable break at Balloch Park. I highly recommend this place for a comfortable and tranquil getaway.

The inn had a charming and inviting ambiance, with tasteful decor that reminded me of a cozy country home. The common areas were well-maintained and had comfortable seating, making it easy for senior guests like myself to relax and socialize. The hotel's layout was also convenient, with wide corridors and easy access to all amenities, ensuring that I could navigate the premises with ease.
A minor improvement could be made in ensuring that the hotel staff is more attentive to the needs of senior guests. Although the service was generally pleasant, there were a few instances where I felt the children working there could have been more proactive in assisting older visitors, particularly in offering assistance with luggage or providing extra support when needed.

The lodge was a bit far from amenities. the hot tub wasn't sheltered from the next lodge.
